Ledesma, Maxey wins Regional Award for Most Outstanding SPED Teacher


Two SPED teachers were awarded as national finalist  for the Most Outstanding SPED Teacher during the National Conference for Special Education Teachers on December 6-8, 2011 at the Cebu Business Hotel, Cebu City.

Teacher Vi-cherry U. Ledesma, won as the national finalist for the Gifted and Talented category while Teacher Elena Maxey was recognized as winner for the intellectually-disabled (ID) category.

“Teacher Elena and I are very proud with this achievement, we dedicate it to our pupils who bring out the best in us as teachers,”  said Teacher Vi-cherry during an interview.

Teacher Vi-cherry is a grade six adviser of the FL class. She is also the science and math teacher who advocates environmental preservation through tree planting and tree caring activities, and garbage segregation.

Teacher Elena Maxey is a Special Class adviser handling the intellectually-disabled (ID) who has dedicated her service in the SPED class for seven years now. JCA
